mamaness's Diaryland Diary

scary two yeear old

So our outside time today was cut short by Kier trying to run into the street becuase he thinks its funny when I chase him. #1 thanks to my midwifes suggestion I am now taking him inside immediatly no matter what-even if like today we had only been out five minutes. Hoping that works. And #2 although he turned as soon as he heard me call him (RIGHT as he got to where the driveway/street meet), there was a car coming, they slowed down just in case he ran out into the street but my heart just about stopped i was soooo scared. Luckily he turned, they slowed, etc. but what if I hadn't noticed he ran off because i was doing something with Jer or something? He HAS to stop running into the street. Two year olds can be sooo stubborn.

I so want my kids to remember me as a fun mom. So I do all this stuff. Like tonight there were some thanksgiving specials on ABC, and I made them brownies & fruit punch as a treat while we watched together. And on Thanksgiving morning we watch the parade together while eating some favorite breakfast (this year I am thinking sausages for sure, not sure what else yet maybe french toast, yum & pancakes cause Kier prefers those to french toast & vice versa with Jeric!) And yeah. I try to do stuff. I let them help cook (although that always turns into a learning session LOL Even making PBj sandwiches is a learning experience. Four quarters equals One whole. Like a dollar. heh ). Today Jer wanted to cut yarn, I was knitting, so I let him. We now have a bag full of all different size strips of black yarn we used today & will use to measure (which is longest, shortest, put them in order, etc), make shapes with, count, and make letters with. Any other ideas for me?? Next Wednesday I think we will do something special for Thanksgiving - a craft I mean. I need to look and see what we should do. Of course the first thing in my mind was hand-turkeys but I'm not sure if that's what we'll do. We'll see.

Anyway, yeah. Jas wanted to order someting in for dinner tonight so he said "Marco polo" which means Philly Cheese Steak. Yum. Sorry shannon. lol. I'm craving it right now too, which is why I agreed. He wanted pizza, which is why he offered. lol. It is here now so I am gonna go.
