mittens on kittens

I cherish my shower time. And it helps me to not smell like sour milk anymore for awhile. Jas got me shampoo last night, usually I just get like suave or something else cheap, but he got herbal essences. Smells yummy.

Today was pretty much OK, I had a hard time in the early afternoon but worked it out after having a breakdown while on the phone with jas. I just had to get it all out of my system before I could sit down and deal with things. Heh. Welcome to postpartumhood. I so need to talk to my midwife about some things, but I don't want to do that at my next appointment because mom will be with me and I would just rather talk to her in private kwim? Mom would bug me forever. She's a mom though, she's supposed to. Anyway so I should call molly. Yeah. and this is me talking. Like that'll happen. She should send me birth photos though, I can't wait to see & i have been waiting and waiting toooo long.

I can't believe how cold it's gonna be the rest of this week. The highs will be almost/about/lower than half of what they were Monday At least the 70's day was a no school day. And the snow day was a Sunday. Hmm things seem to be working out well, hmm? I wouldn't mind another snow day. One where the kids were at home and could play in their own yard. And had access to their mittens, heh. We only had one pair with us at MILs that day, Kier wore socks on his hands. It would have to be a Saturday though, so Jas was home too. You know it's 43ish out right now and my mom said they had a fire lit. Ok, see, I wouldn't do a fire unless it was low 30s or below, unless I was just in a fire mood. And the bookshelf was moved from in front of the fireplace, not to mention where the chair is positioned isn't good either. No roasting marshmellows for us. I want to get a BBQ grill this spring. I told Jas I want to invite everyone over for Easter, but he doesn't like that idea. It's not like everyone would be inside the whole time, the kids would probably play out back.

I found out Sunday that my brother quit smoking. Yay. Hopefully he won't start up again. He hasn't smoked for like a month, and he had cut way back before that too. I'm sure finances (ie no job, too lazy to look for one-i assume that he's too lazy anyway) are the reason for his quitting, but it's still awsome. My dad has been smoking since he was, um, I think he said 11. So 51 years now. Yuck. He does quit *cigarettes* every Lent, but he pulls out his pipe & tabacco during that time. Is it really giving up if you have a substitute? My mom always gives up Chocolate. When does Lent start this year? I should look that up on the calendar later.
