mamaness's Diaryland Diary

And now

Well like we ever doubted it, Alanna has graduated. Woo hoo. She was the first of us to actually walk the stage & all so it was a big deal. The choir sang Friends at her graduation and now I can't get the song out of my head. That isn't a bad thing, I love that song, at least when it is sung by Michael W. Smith. Whoever sings it lately on the radio-BLECH. I don't likes. Anyway, back to my point. I didn't realize they could sing that at a public school "event" or whatever. But hey whatever. So yeah they are playing back the graduations this week on Cable, I need to have someone record it. While they were showing some of the students Alanna's face was up on the screen & that was exciting. We were sitting in her row, coincidently, only about five people were beetween us & her. She said it was so boring she really wanted us to pass her the baby. Also the girl next to her kept talking to her and she was on the wrong side of her so she didn't hear hardly anything she said.

We came home to a note on our door today. It would be nice if people would talk to you instead of hiding & leaving anon. notes & calling code enforcement about things wouldn't it? Do they not realize people get busy and don't always notice every tiny little thing? Everyone isn't like you you know. Not you. But them. Yeah. Eh. Also a neighbor rang our doorbell at 7:30. Niceeeeeeeeeeee way to introduce us to you. ha. Jas got up and talked to him for awhile. But yeah 7:30. wierd.

I am going to bed soon. I'm very tired. There is a lot to do this week. Blah. Know what I hate? When we go to the grocery store and I forget to get stuff. Oh well. Plus I really wanted some of those hostess cupcakes or twinkies but I was a good girl and didn't get any. Now I'm regrettting that decision. So yeah. I'm gonna search for the lyrics to Friends & post em (it was my 8th grade Graduation song) & then head to bed. Actually I will probably have some tea or coke first. I'm thirsty.

Packing up the dreams God planted

In the fertile soil of you

Can't believe the hopes He's granted

Means a chapter in your life is through

But we'll keep you close as always

It won't even seem you've gone

'Cause our hearts in big and small ways

Will keep the love that keeps us strong

Chorus:

And friends are friends forever

If the Lord's the Lord of them

And a friend will not say "never"

'Cause the welcome will not end

Though it's hard to let you go

In the Father's hands we know

That a lifetime's not too long to live as friends.

With the faith and love God's given

Springing from the hope we know

We will pray the joy you'll live in

Is the strength that now you show

But we'll keep you close as always

It won't even seem you've gone

'Cause our hearts in big and small ways

Will keep the love that keeps us strong

Chorus:

And friends are friends forever

If the Lord's the Lord of them.

And a friend will not say "never"

'Cause the welcome will not end

Though it's hard to let you go

In the Father's hand we know

That a lifetime's not to long to live as friends.
